Greetings, comrades.

The vast majority of non-bot visitors will have arrived at this website by accident; if so, please move on.
This site was created as a response to various requests for a CV.

I also present the following six bullet points which shall be called rules.

Rule One. The CV has no phone/home information for a reason. I wish only initial contact via email.

Rule Two. If you have read the CV you should realize I am over 70. I am presently working on short-term management contracts, am not seeking full-time employment and I really wish to retire. If we don’t know each other and you are seeking a geologist, please do not consider me. If you must contact me for other reasons please see Rule One.

Rule Three. This CV is not on the major Linkedin or any employment or social media website for a reason. If you are a headhunter and require a “pool” of candidates to narrow your selection and demonstrate to a client your due diligence, please see Rule Two.

Rule Four. If you personally know me, you then already know my contact information and there is no need to reiterate Rule One. I have changed my phone number recently though, so in that case or of lost contact information, see Rule One.

Rule Five. I am not hiring any geological staff so please do not forward a CV. This will be a waste of both our time and will unnecessarily clutter my inbox. A point of pride to me in the past was always to formally respond to letters of employment; accordingly, should the forgoing be ignored, you shall just receive a reply email with the heading “See Rule Five”.

Rule Six. This is the final rule.

Resume

“Anybody can find a mineral deposit---the measure of success is the ability to find millfeed.
Understanding this concept is the difference between stagnant exploration companies and economic producers.”
- W. Kerr, 2010 Excerpt from keynote case history (Wheeler River Discovery)
at the Society of Economic Geologist 4th Annual Keystone Conference
and associated sole author publication in Special Publication Number 15, October 2010. (See publications)

MANAGEMENT
Forty nine years of exploration and mining management including 20 years as chief exploration officer involved with successful exploration, evaluation, and development of primarily uranium but also gold, base metal, and rare earth deposits throughout the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. Principal strengths are cross-cultural management, individual and team leadership, and the ability to recognize and quickly respond to the key elements of an opportunity, concept, or project and assure that the critical path to optimization, evaluation and acquisition is maintained. The success in this approach results from the selection and leadership of highly motivated and technically qualified personnel with sound business strengths, utilization of state of the art exploration and mining technology, and personal involvement that encourages innovation in all aspects of the programs and projects. This is implemented through a leadership style that emphasizes urgency, technical excellence, teamwork, and excellence in communications, training, individual accountability, and reward for exceptional performance.

TECHNICAL
Over forty nine years of mining experience has resulted in being well versed in all aspects of mineral exploration, project economics and development, and operations. Verbal and written skills led to preparation of annual reports and securities documents, short and long form prospectuses that raised over $USD 0.7 Billion, lead author of the worlds first NI 43-101 report on Uranium reserves and resources, and presentations to the investment community and company directors. Technical innovation led to the recommendations for implementation of Canada’s first “Freeze wall curtain” for gold (Aquarius in Timmins) and design of, and secondary author of the initial NI 43-101 technical report on hydraulic borehole mining in Canada (now MED/SABRE at McClean North in Saskatchewan).

FINANCIAL
The search for business opportunities and company acquisitions requires construction of comprehensive economic models and sensitivity analysis. Economic models created pre-tax appraisals of cash flow using assumptions gained through due diligence and experience with internal and external capital and operating costs. Sensitivities involving all aspects of the operations included metal prices, ore grade, metallurgical recoveries, potential ore reserve additions, production expansion, operating costs, environmental, and labor relations. Responsibilities included negotiations leading to several acquisitions and many exploration and joint venture agreements. Optimization studies led to a re-evaluation of underground operations and change to open pit methods for gold and uranium deposits in Canada and the Middle East.
